Foundation stone of Arts and Commerce College is laid in
1993. The buildings of colleges are well equipped with
all the facilities. According to modern age necessity
students should get knowledge in computer field. These
colleges have the specialty of Air –conditioned Computer
building.
Library is the heart of college is built with furniture.
Today the college is full-fledged with the help of the
people. The building is built Rs. 70 Lakh .
In 1963 Jan 29, the Ode
Urban Co-operative Bank was started to solve the problem
of deposits and money withdrawal.
At
present 2275 students are studying in Sardar Patel Vinay
Mandir School. 60 teachers are working there. The school
is divided in many different sections like Kinder -Garten,
Primary, Secondary, and Higher Secondary. It has also
drawing exam centre and Hindi exam centre organized by
Gujarat State.
Lions’ Club
and Gokul Club are organized in Ode. Lions Club and
Lions Club Enfield (London) offered tube well facility
with motor and pipeline connection.
To deposit and withdraw
money various banks like Dena Bank, Central Bank, Ode
Urban Bank and Ode Citizen Credit Society and five firms
are available in the village.
Occupation
The main occupation is farming in which Tobacco is main
crop various items are made from tobacco like
cigarettes, bidis. Other crops like wheat, rice, banana,
potato, groundnut, lemon, vegetables, pulses etc, are
taken. 6 dairies for milk producers and others are
organized by Amul dairy.
Four iron welding
factories, Petrol pump, Printing Press, Private
Ice-cream parlor, Cinema for entertainment ,6 Gardens
,auto mobile shops, Tailor’s shops, Sanitary hardware
shops, shops for clothes and many more facilities are
found in this wide and prosperous village.
6 Private
dispensaries are in the village. One Ambulance facility
is given by late Shantaben Bhikhabhai to take patient to
other city for his/her remedy. |
